CPA TAX SERVICES
Founder equity, early exercise and 83(b) tax support
Tavella CPA Group accepts defined tax-review engagements involving founder restricted stock or an early exercise of stock options. The review starts with the executed documents, transaction dates, vesting or forfeiture terms and the question you need resolved. Any scenario analysis or election preparation must be expressly included in the written scope.
Discuss Founder Equity Tax SupportReview the transaction before assuming an election applies
The award label alone does not establish whether an 83(b) election is available or appropriate. An accepted review considers the documents and facts needed for the tax question, identifies assumptions and distinguishes tax analysis from a recommendation to acquire or exercise an investment. Legal interpretation and valuation work remain outside this initial service.
Election materials and filing responsibilities
When election preparation is accepted, the written engagement identifies the preparation work, who must sign, who will submit the election, and who is responsible for deadlines and retaining submission evidence. Tavella undertakes only the work expressly accepted. An inquiry does not establish an engagement or transfer any filing or deadline responsibility.
Separate planning and return work
Additional tax-year projections, return preparation and QSBS review are separately scoped when relevant. This offer does not include securities or legal drafting, valuation, employer-plan administration, investment recommendations or a guarantee of election validity or a tax exclusion.
Start with the event and date
Describe the stock or option transaction, its date and any known deadline in your inquiry. Do not attach sensitive award, tax or account records to the inquiry message. Accepted document review uses the firm's existing secure process. Availability and the work required must be confirmed before any deadline-related engagement is accepted.
