Payroll tax and filing support for small businesses

Payroll affects tax deposits, quarterly filings, year-end forms, business returns, owner compensation, and state accounts. Tavella CPA Group provides separately scoped payroll-tax and filing support and can coordinate with an approved payroll platform when full payroll processing is required. The written engagement identifies the employers, workers, jurisdictions, filing periods, responsibilities, records, deadlines, and fee before work begins.

This service may be a fit when

  • A small business needs accepted payroll-tax account, filing, reconciliation, or year-end form support
  • Owner payroll and reasonable compensation need coordination with business and owner returns
  • Existing payroll reports and tax deposits must be reconciled to supported filings
  • An approved payroll platform can handle processing when full payroll processing is required

These items require separate scope or another professional

  • Each employer, worker group, jurisdiction, filing period, notice, correction, and return
  • Employee-benefit, employment-law, human-resources, workers-compensation, or other legal advice
  • A website inquiry does not transfer deposit, filing, notice, correction, or deadline responsibility

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about payroll services

Is payroll included with bookkeeping or a business tax return?

No. Payroll is a separate service. It is included only when the written scope expressly lists the payroll work, filing periods, and responsibilities covered.

What payroll records may be needed?

The records depend on the approved scope. Common starting information may include prior payroll reports and filings, employee and owner details, state registrations, payment history, benefit information, and access to the current payroll system.

Does submitting the consultation form transfer payroll responsibility?

No. A consultation request does not create an engagement or transfer responsibility for deposits, filings, notices, or deadlines. Those responsibilities change only through an accepted written engagement and confirmed onboarding.

How do I upload documents?

After engagement setup, use the secure client portal and the upload instructions provided by Tavella CPA Group. Do not send Social Security numbers, tax returns, bank information, or other sensitive documents through the public contact form or ordinary email.

Is this service cloud-based?

Yes. Organizers, secure document uploads, messages, electronic signatures, invoices, and final documents can be handled online through the appropriate secure workflow.

How long will preparation take?

Timing depends on the service, complexity, completeness of the information provided, filing deadline, and current availability. Expected timing is discussed when the scope is confirmed; submitting a consultation request does not reserve a filing deadline.

What happens if information is missing?

Tavella CPA Group will identify the missing items and explain what is needed next. Preparation or filing may need to pause until the required information is received, and any deadline or extension options will be discussed based on the circumstances.
