WHY THESE QUESTIONS MATTER

Sales tax obligations depend on more than total revenue

States can apply different registration thresholds, sourcing rules, product and service classifications, marketplace-facilitator rules, filing frequencies, and documentation requirements. Physical activity in a state can also matter.

The result from this tool is a preparation list—not a conclusion. A proper review may require state-specific sales reports, contracts, inventory locations, marketplace statements, prior registrations, and correspondence.
